The majority of this snake was cast out of fiberglass. The top 1/3 of its body was cast out of silicone to allow it to bend as the mechanism within the skin moved from side to side. The last 7 inches of the tail were also cast out of silicone so that the tail could rattle. I attached the silicone sections to the fiberglass body then painted the assembled snake with a silicone based paint.
