After an hour or so of refining the model, I started to add texture.
Here is the finished model. It took about 3 or 4 hours to create. Some of that time was used to try different things to see what looks good. The model is not very animation friendly but it does serve as a quick way to design a character before you start the long task of rebuilding it properly for rigging and animation.
